Corporate telecommunications company Broadband Solutions have today announced the addition of an exciting new high speed broadband product to its extensive range of business grade telecommunication products.

Ethernet over Copper is a new type of technology that uses multiple copper phone lines (pairs) bonded together to achieve significantly higher speeds than single copper circuits. Using up to 8 copper pairs bonded together, Ethernet over Copper is capable of achieving speeds up to 40/40 Mbps symmetrical (both upload and download).

Ethernet over Copper is comparable to fibre in terms of latency, throughput and reliability, but is significantly cheaper and available at many more locations than fibre. It is presented to the customer as a standard 10/100 ethernet port, making integration with existing routers/firewalls as simple as possible.
