Broadband Solutions Mobile Wireless Broadband is a high-speed wireless broadband service that gives you the flexibility to work from anywhere at anytime. Its convenient and portable and you don't need a fixed land line to obtain broadband access. Our Mobile Wireless Broadband product operates on the Optus 3G network and offers extensive coverage across Australia. The Mobile Wireless Network currently provides speeds up to 3.6Mbps. The network is being progressively upgraded to 7.2Mbps over the next 12 months, to provide end to end network capability for 7.2Mbps across CBDs, metropolitan and selected regional locations. Depending on signal strength, users can expect average throughput of between 1.5 and 3Mbps with peak speeds reaching over 6Mbps.

Contract lengths of 24 or 12 months available. Free setup and free hardware on 24 month contracts. $199 setup on 12 month contracts. A monthly hardware rental fee of $5.00/month applies on 12 month contracts. SMSs charged at $0.25/sms.

The hardware used to connect to the Mobile Wireless Network is a small USB dongle. It is compatible with Windows XP/2000/Vista, with limited support for Macintosh.

Mobile Wireless Broadband - Credit Safety Cap:

Broadband Wireless Light - includes up to 1,000Mb data - Data usage is then charged at $0.15/ Mb up to 4,800Mb of excess usage (total usage = 5,800Mb) whereby usage charges will be capped

Broadband Wireless Medium - includes up to 2,000Mb data - Data usage is then charged at $0.15 / Mb up to 4,650Mb of excess usage (total usage = 6,650Mb) whereby usage charges will be capped

Broadband Wireless Heavy - includes up to 5,000Mb data - Data usage is then charged at $0.15 / Mb up to 4,400Mb of excess usage (total usage = 9,400Mb) whereby usage charges will be capped

The "Credit Safety Cap" will only apply for end users for a maximum of 3 occurrences. If this excessive usage continues the "Credit Safety Cap" will be removed and normal excess usage charges will apply (uncapped).

Data usage will be calculated as a combined total of uploads and downloads in Kilobytes (KB). For all purposes 1 Megabyte (MB) = 1,024 Kilobytes (KB). Usage charges will apply when Mobile Wireless Broadband is transferring data over the GSM, 3G/HSDPA Networks or other roaming partners as advised by Broadband Solutions from time to time. If you exceed your data plan monthly included usage allowance for your Mobile Wireless Broadband service in any given billing period, an excess usage rate of $0.15 per MB will apply. Unused data allowance in any month cannot be rolled into subsequent months.
