The high-tech hotel is Australia’s first to allow guests to check in, check out and manage their entire stay on their smart phone.
Silver Needle Hospitality recently reopened Brisbane’s oldest hotel, the Chifley at Lennons, following a multimillion dollar makeover and chose Broadband Solutions to help create the high-tech hotel, ‘Next’. An inspiration for hotels of the future, ‘Next’ is the first Australian hotel of its kind, allowing guests to manage their entire stay using their smart phone.

The hotel app enables guests to use their smart phones to check in, as a room key, to control air conditioning and entertainment, manage lighting and even order room service. The hotel’s innovative technology also includes sleep and shower pods for guests arriving early and wish freshen up whilst waiting for their room.
For the ‘Next’ solution, Broadband Solutions utilised its one-of-a-kind, IP based, full feature PABX framework that can be used for all phone calls and internet by both guests and hotel administration. The highly competitive framework rates mean Silver Needle is able to offer guests free local calls and cheaper international calls via the in room Samsung Galaxy S4s as well as free Wi-Fi across unlimited devices.
Broadband Solutions has developed a strong presence in the hospitality industry working with some of Australia’s best hotel chains and over 600 hotels in the past 12 months.
