16th March 2015: Broadband Solutions, one of Australia’s most reliable and fast growing business telecommunications providers, has today announced that they will provide customers with access to all their stored metadata, whether or not demanded by the final data retention legislation.
“Today we are pleased to announce that, upon the finalisation of the data retention regulations, we will be providing customers with access to all of their stored information,” said Sam Bashiry, Managing Director of Broadband Solutions.
“We understand that privacy and security are core concerns of our customers, and we are committed to providing transparent access to all information relevant to those concerns.”
In addressing the technical requirements of data retention, the company reinforced their commitment to affordable services.
“In a technical sense, much of the drafted data can already be easily collected. Provided that the requirements are similar to those drafted, we don’t expect the cost of storing the data to have an impact on service prices. However, we are eager to observe the final regulations so that we can fully gauge the costs and implement cost-efficient compliance systems,” said Mr. Bashiry
Broadband Solutions will begin giving customers access to their data upon the finalisation of the legislation and regulations. If any customers have questions or concerns about the legislation or queries regarding their stored data, they should contact their Account Manager.
